Description:  Marriott's Grand Hotel is a year round resort on the eastern shore of Mobile Bay one mile west of the town of Point Clear. This queen of antebellum Southern resorts graces the eye with moss draped oaks on five hundred fifty beautifully landscaped acres. Marriott's Grand Hotel offers deluxe accommodations, outstanding cuisine prepared by the resort's experienced culinary staff and recreational activities including two challenging golf courses, horseback riding, tennis and watersports. Marriott's Grand Hotel is undergoing a multimillion dollar renovation during 2001 and 2002. A new swimming pool is now open and two restaurants are being remodeled. Existing guest rooms will be completely renovated and one hundred thirty new rooms added. Meeting facilities are being expanded and construction is underway on a new twenty-six thousand square foot spa facility.
