The Alaska Wilderness Plantation, formerly a Southern-style mansion, has been converted into a warm and spacious inn. With over 10,000 square-feet of living space and nearly 3 1/2 acres, the Alaska Wilderness Plantation is an ideal place for small meetings and functions, including board meetings, breakout groups and pre- and post-convention planning sessions. It offers a unique and enjoyable way to savor the ambiance of the Alaska wilderness in the comfort of a fine inn convenient to the heart of Alaska's largest city. We also have available an IBM compatible computer system, fax machine, and office copier to better serve the business traveler. Indoor guests to the plantation enjoy luxurious accommodations in one of our 8 rooms, all with private baths. Let our large heated pool, sauna or whirlpool be the center of your relaxing stay. With the combination of plants, trees and wildlife murals every day is a warm and exciting trip through the back country of Alaska. For those interested in a more romantic atmosphere or for the business traveler who needs a little extra room, our suite, complete with a fireplace and king and queen-size beds or the 3 bed mini-suite will fill either wonderfully. Enjoy a continental breakfast in our cozy dining room or poolside. Our fireside lounge with wildlife display is sure to attract lively conversation and stories among friends, old and new. Outdoors...take advantage of nature's gifts. Relax in the sun on our large deck and don't forget to stop and smell the flowers like our neighborhood friends do.
