Location:
Big Bear Lake, surrounded by the San Bernadino National Forest, is a mountain resort community, 100 miles Northeast of Los Angeles. The Lake is eight miles long, Altitude ranges from 6,750 to 9,000 feet.

Directions from Big Bear Lake (RBF) airport:
As you come out of the airport make a right on Big Bear Blvd. Drive for about 5 miles. the hotel is on the right side.

Directions from Las Vegas:
Drive south on I15 to Barstow, California. take the Barstow road turnoff, where there will also be a directional sign showing Big Bear Lake. This is highway 247. Continue 34 miles to highway 18. When approaching highway 18 you will pass an elementary school and a stop sign. At the second stop sign, turn left onto highway 18. This road will take you all the way up to the mountain highway. The first habitation you will be driving through is Big Bear City. You will see directional signs along the way, but to save yourself time and effort, stay on highway 18 until you come to an intersection where there is a school on your left hand side. This is the Stanfield cutoff. Turn left and continue across the lake. at the stoplight turn right onto Big Bear Blvd. and continue for about 4 miles. At the stoplight of Pine knot there is an I-hop on the right. The US Post Office and Mobil gas station on the left Big Bear Blvd changes into Lakeview Drive, As you come through the traffic light, proceed about 300 yards (1/2 mile), Thundercloud Resort will be on your right hand side. The drive from Las Vegas, Nevada to Big Bear Lake is 212 miles and most drivers will make the trip in approximately three hours.

Directions from Los Angeles:
Take Interstate 10 East to the 30 freeway North to highway 330 East. Highway 330 goes through Running springs and turns into highway 18. Follow highway 18 East and turn right across the Big Bear Lake Dam. Follow this road into Big Bear.

Directions from Orange County or the South Bay area:
Take the 91 East or the 55 North to the 91 East. to the 215 North to Interstate 10 East, to the 30 freeway North, to highway 330 East. Highway 330 goes through Running Springs and turns into highway 18. Follow highway 18 East and turn right across the Big Bear Lake Dam into Big Bear.

Take the interstate 15 North, to the 215 North, to Interstate 10 East to the 30 freeway North. to the 330 East which will take you up into the mountains. Highway 330 goes through Running Springs and turns into highway 18. Follow highway 18 East and turn right across the Big Bear Dam and into Big Bear.

Directions from the San Fernando Valley:
Take the 101 East to the 134 East to the 210 East, to the interstate 10 east to the 30 freeway North to highway 330 East which will take you up into the mountains. Highway 330 goes through Running Springs and turns into highway 18. Follow highway 18 East and turn right across Big Bear Dam and into Big Bear.

Directions from Palm Springs:
Take interstate 10 west to Yucaipa. Take the county line road off ramp. Turn right onto highway 38. This will take you right into Big Bear.

Directions from Las Vegas:
Take the interstate 15 South to highway 247. This will bring you to the town of Lucerne. Go past two stop signs and turn left onto highway 18 which leads up to the mountain to Big Bear Valley follow highway 18 approximately 6 miles to the Stanfield cutoff turn left , drive across the lake. Turn right at stop sign, follow Big Bear Blvd into Big Bear Lake.
