Directions from From Airport:  Take Washington Blvd. East to Northcrest Drive. At traffic light turn right on Northcrest Drive. Northcrest Drive will meet Hwy. 101. Keep driving South and you will see Denny's Restaurant. Travelodge is next to Denny's.
Directions from From the North:  US Highway 101 Southbound, on the left you can see Travelodge, located between 3rd & 4th Streets right next to Denny's Restaurant.
Directions from From the South:  Drive on US 101 Northbound, you will see KFC Restaurant and Taco Bell. Turn left after Taco Bell and you will drive up to the Travelodge.

Exceptionally beautiful drive, which follows the historic stage coach route to Oregon, which leads you to an outstanding grove of old growth redwoods. There you will find the 340 foot Stout Tree, one of the tallest in the park.

Built in 1856, this historic lighthouse sits on a small island 100 feet off shore. It is accessible only by foot - and only at low tide. Guided tours available Wednesday-Sunday, April-September.

Fishing:  Ocean Charters are available for salmon, snapper and ling cod. Both the Smith and Klamath Rivers are World Famous for Chinese Salmon, Steelhead and Cutthroat Trout.
Kayaking/ White Water Rafting:  Smith River's emerald waters and soaring canyon walls comprise one of the largest wild and scenic River Systems in the United States. This spectacular river is the heart of the Smith River National Recreation Area, a 305,000 acre region offering easy access to water sports.
Golfing:  Del Norte Golf Club, along Smith River north of Crescent City, is a small but challenging course. Several small streams and a couple of gullies come into play on the 9-hole course, which can be played as an 18-hole course. Also located near Crescent City is the Kings Valley Golf Club, a 9-hole three par course that provides challenging practice for the short game. Crescent City also has a covered driving range.
Beach Activities:  Crescent City is a Coastal town with the Pacific Coast at it's doorsteps. Various beautiful beaches allows one to enjoy the following activities: Tide Pooling, Beachcombing, Agate Hunting, Calming, Sailing, Kite Flying, and Whale Watching. Surfing/ Wind Surfing:  Access to beaches makes it easy to surf. Join in the fun at our Annual Noll's Long Board Classic, held in the first week of October. Winding Surfing is also carried out at Lake Earl.
Crescent City Harbor is a working commercial fishing harbor.  It has facilities for Launching recreational boats.  Access to beaches and water is very easy. This is a very safe harbor for surfing.
