Situated majestically on the shores of Lake Merritt there is a special treat awaiting you. Step into the past by entering this charming Mediterranean Art Deco building which was originally built in 1927, and was restored to its glory in 1990 and again in early 2000. The Lake Merritt is a 50 room boutique hotel which specializes in suites, small meeting accommodations and special events.

We offer 27 parlor suites which feature a spacious layout with an entertainment/sitting area within the bedroom area; a kitchenette with a coffee maker, microwave, and mini-refrigerator; breakfast nook, and a cedar-lined walk-in closet.

There are 16 deluxe suites which feature a separate bedroom, living room, breakfast nook, and kitchenette area. These large suites are ideal for small meetings, interviews, and business entertaining, and they are appropriate for longer term stays. We have nine guest rooms which all have a view of the lake. Nearly every room has a spectacular view of the lake or city.
