Resting along the waters of Cos Cob, our 19th-century federal manor house is richly evocative of the past. Each of the 14 guest rooms were updated and redecorated in 1998 to incorporate the most modern amenities. The Old World nautical charm greets you from the moment you cross the front porch. The inn's luxurious comfort lies in such rich details as hand-detailed mill work, oriental carpets, high ceilings, and the hand-painted compass rose in the oak-floored entry. The rooms are uniquely designed to provide you with comfort of warmth and serenity. Each room includes a private bath, TV/VCR, dataport, and air conditioning. Suite selections have sitting areas, private porches and Jacuzzi. With its white marble fireplace and French doors, the 'common room' is the perfect place to enjoy our complimentary continental breakfast or just to relax with a good book. Overlook - Located on the 3rd floor, this quiet room overlooks the quaint yard with pretty flowers and plants, and offers a queen bed decorated lightly with a lovely print of roses, and private bath. Captain Bill's Mistress - This room offers a queen bed, lovely view of the yard, and a large private bath with tub.

Deluxe Suite with Queen Bed Sitting Area-Most with Kitchen The Wedding Suite - This elegantly decorated suite with soft French yellow drapes and swags offers a four-poster queen bed with step-up stool, fireplace, table and chairs, floor-to-ceiling French doors that open to the sitting room with a couch and chairs, private bath, and wonderful view of the marina and boats across the way from the inn. The Cottage - Perfect for the relocating executive, this room features a four-poster queen bed, large closet, couch, and separate room with kitchen area consisting of stove, refrigerator, sink, table and chairs, and private bath. The Garden Room - Filled with wicker furniture, this light and airy suite with soft green tones and floral balloon curtains with coordinating fabrics, offers a queen bed and daybed, along with a kitchenette, table and chairs, full glass paned door that opens onto a private porch, and private bath.

Suite with Queen Bed Romantic Rooms-Sitting Area Julie's Room - This very charming suite is decorated with a rose colored floral print, and offers a queen raised panel bed and private bath. Large windows and a sitting area make this a truly romantic room for a weekend getaway. The Parisian Room - This beautifully decorated suite of soft yellow coordinating fabrics hosts a queen sleigh bed, double sofabed, sitting area, kitchenette, private bath, and scenic views of the river.
