The Marco Island Marriott Resort Golf Club and Spa is undergoing renovation through early 2003. Guest rooms are being remodeled, a health spa and ballroom are being added at the north end of the property and recreational facilities including the golf course, pools and tennis courts are undergoing refurbishment and updating. Construction noise may be heard during work hours 9am-6pm. A new casual family restaurant opened in April and a new fine dining restaurant is scheduled to open in October.
