The Ritz Plaza Hotel is a national historic
landmark which was awarded its place in the National Historic Hotels of America Association.
Restored in 1990 the hotel has been sensitively restored to its original beauty and ambiance. It
offers the convenience of the 90’s with the atmosphere of the 40’s.
In 1990, the Miami Design Preservation League
presented the hotel with an award for Distinguished Contribution to the Art Deco
District. Another 1990 merit includes the Best Community Impact Renovation, Rehabilitation
and Historic Preservation.
In 1993, the Barbara Baer Capitman Award for
excellence in historic preservation was bestowed upon the Ritz Plaza Hotel under
category one: Accurately restored architecturally significant buildings, and recognized in the areas of facade, interior and
landscape by the Miami Preservation League.
Located directly on the ocean in the very
heart of Miami Beach's Art Deco District, the Ritz Plaza Hotel fuses 1940's opulence with

lunch. The Climax Bar offers cocktails and lighter fare. Cool beverages and light lunches are available at the Pool Bar and Grill.
There are eight meeting rooms accommodating up to 300 people,
and the View Ballroom can hold up to 250 theater-style. Banquet and catering services are also available, and the hotel offers the perfect
