Golf:
There are several outstanding golf courses in the Lake Tahoe and surrounding areas. Each offers fine groomed greens, club house, and/or pro shop and of course, spectacular views of either the lake or towering peaks. Golfing arrangements can be made which include green fees, cart rental, club rental and transfers from the Hyatt to the Golf Course. The most popular courses are the Incline Village Championship Course and Mountain Course at the Northshore, and Edgewood Golf Course at the South Shore. Also available and very nice is the course at Northstar at Tahoe. Tee times should be booked well in advance. Historic Shopping tour of Downtown Truckee:
The charming downtown of Truckee is shopping friendly. Truckee has turned the first buildings ever built in town, some dating back to the late 1800's, into wonderful boutiques. One can shop for everything from the latest in fashion to fishing equipment. If you spend all your money to quickly don't despair, enjoy some of the historical points of town; the oldest and longest running jail in the west, the site of the first log cabin, the place where Charlie Chaplin relaxed after filming one of only 27 rocking stones in the world and hear about the rock's strange story and much more. Also another museum to find out the fate behind the Donner Party tragedy; a 30 minute movie on the tragedy is shown on the hour. |

Fishing Charter:
Lake Tahoe offers some of the best fresh water fishing in the west. The lake is home to: Mountain Trout, Rainbow Trout, German Brown Trout, Speckled Trout, Mackinaw, Mountain Whitefish and Kokanee Salmon. Charter fishing, led by professional guides, is the only way to really enjoy fishing on the lake. Bait and tackle are included. Fishing charters leave early in the morning or in the afternoon.
