Donner Memorial Park and Museum:
The park and museum commemorates the Donner Party, 89 westward-bound pioneers trapped in the winter of 1846-47 in snow 22-feet deep. Sand Harbor State Park:
One of the most popular state parks in Lake Tahoe (because of its white sandy beaches and translucent blue water) visitors can enjoy swimming, boating and a self-guided nature trail. Annual music festival and a Shakespeare festival. Highway 28, Incline Village

Golf:
There are several outstanding golf courses in the Lake Tahoe
and surrounding areas. Each offers fine groomed greens, club
house, and/or pro shop and of course, spectacular views of
either the lake or towering peaks. Golfing arrangements can be made which include green fees, cart rental, club rental and transfers from the Hyatt to the Golf Course.
The most popular courses are the Incline Village Championship Course and Mountain Course at the Northshore, and Edgewood Golf Course at the South Shore. Also available and very nice is the course at Northstar at Tahoe.
Tee times should be booked well in advance.

River Rafting:
Providing guided half day and full day trips for the young at heart. Experience nature's wonderland. Qualified white water guides ensure a fun filled day on the water. Expect beauty and adventure navigating through foaming rapids and quiet flat waters. Rivers range from two to four star. You do not have to be a swimmer but you do have to be prepared to get wet.

For the fitness enthusiast. Explore the Tahoe Basin with our experienced hiking guides. Many trips are available from 1-10 miles. Hike a section of the Tahoe Rim Trail, Spooner Lake, Ophir Creek, a strenuous Marlette/Eagle Falls. Bring a bathing suit...Most hikes offer swimming for the very brave and part polar bear

Vikingsholm Mansion Hike:
The trail head is on the west shore of Lake Tahoe in Emerald bay, one of the most photographed bays in the world. The hike descends into this glorious fjord, home to Scandinavian castle and the only island in Lake Tahoe, Fanette Island.

Take one of our high tech bikes down Lakeshore Drive or on a mountainous dirt trail. Our guides are very familiar with the trails of Lake Tahoe and will guide you on or off the beaten path.

Historic Shopping tour of Downtown Truckee:
The charming downtown of Truckee is shopping friendly. Truckee has turned the first buildings ever built in town, some dating back to the late 1800's, into wonderful boutiques. One can shop for everything from the latest in fashion to fishing equipment.
If you spend all your money to quickly don't despair, enjoy some of the historical points of town; the oldest and longest running jail in the west, the site of the first log cabin, the place where Charlie Chaplin relaxed after filming one of only 27 rocking stones in the world and hear about the rock's strange story and much more. Also another museum to find out the fate behind the Donner Party tragedy; a 30 minute movie on the tragedy is shown on the hour.

Fishing Charter:
Lake Tahoe offers some of the best fresh water fishing in the west. The lake is home to: Mountain Trout, Rainbow Trout, German Brown Trout, Speckled Trout, Mackinaw, Mountain Whitefish and Kokanee Salmon. Charter fishing, led by professional guides, is the only way to really enjoy fishing on the lake. Bait and tackle are included. Fishing charters leave early in the morning or in the afternoon. Minimum of 6 people.

Snowmobiling:
Snowmobile wilderness tours through the Tahoe National Forest. Wind your way through Tahoe's forest with beautiful views out to Lake Tahoe. Custom tours available. Standard tour is two hours. Tours include helmet, snowmobiles and guides. Snowmobile drivers must have a valid drivers license, 325 pound weight limit.

There are more ski lifts in the Tahoe Basin than in the entire state of Colorado.
