The National Bowling Stadium is located 2 blocks away from the Ramada Inn - Speakeasy Casino. the stadium is not only utilized for sanctioned bowling tournaments of ABC & WIBC, they can also put together special tournaments, meetings, receptions and exhibitions in any one of their rooms, including Stadium Theater.

The Reno Livestock Events Center is less than one mile from the Ramada Inn - Speakeasy Casino. A multi-purpose facility with events ranging from equine, rodeo, motor sports events, and convention rodeos. home of the Nevada State Fair and the "Wildest, Richest Rodeo in the West".
It is a 43-acre facility with stables and 660 stalls, parking for 3,100 vehicles. Indoor facilities are a total of 63,000 square feet with the indoor arena being 45,000 square feet.

UNR is located less than 1 mile from the Ramada Inn - Speakeasy Casino. Well known for their medical school, environmental courses, Mackay School of Mines and the Big Sky Conference. Also on campus the Lawlor Events Center which many concerts are held besides sporting events. Just up the hill on Virginia street is the Fleischmann Planetarium featuring a public observatory, astronomical museum, astronomical lectures and gift shop. While there, stop in at the SkyDome and "be completely immersed in an audio-visual experience like no other".

Just an hour away from Reno is the famous Ponderosa Ranch where the filming took place for TV's "Bonanza", the most popular western of all time.
