Description:
When the innkeepers found this old territorial adobe nestled in the historic North Valley, they knew they were 'home'. From the very beginning, their friends and visitors encouraged them to open their home to bed & breakfast guests, saying, 'this is the kind of house everyone wants to see and explore.' So here they are. They have spent a great deal of time and effort to make the bed & breakfast unique and comfortable yet remain true to the land and the spirits that dwell there. It has truly been a labor of love. The clerestory great room has a massive sculptured adobe fireplace, comfortable lounges and bancos, a library and many interesting Old West and Indian artifacts. Here, during the winter months, late afternoon beverages and snacks are served. Guests are invited to enjoy the home. Relax under the portal in the courtyard, listen to the waterfall tumbling into the lily pond and watch the hummingbirds as they dart about. On cool summer evenings, sit by the outdoor kiva and read or, if you catch him in the proper mood, listen to 'Butch' spin tales of legend and lore of the Old West handed down through generations of his pioneer family (one relative was an Indian fighter and scout for George Washington). The 52-in. television in the den is perfect for sports or movie fans. A dip in the hot tub under the stars is a wonderful way to end your day.
