Through the winter months, you can snowmobile, cross country ski, downhill ski, snowboard and snowshoe. Additionally, the Klamath Basin is home for numerous special activities throughout the year. In February, enjoy the Bald Eagle Conference held locally. We have the largest concentration of wintering Bald Eagles in the contiguous 48 states. April is the peak of the spring waterfowl migration thereby offering an excellent opportunity for bird watching in the numerous surrounding wildlife preserve. The Klamath Memorial Rodeo & Pow wow take place in May and is followed in June by the Great Northwest Pro Rodeo. Crater Lake is the picturesque setting for the rim run and marathon bearing its name each year in August, which is also the month for Klamath Tribes Restoration Celebration. Location:  Traveling from the north on Highway 97 from Bend: Go straight on Business 97, sign says Klamath Falls, Reno, approximately 2 miles. It will be the 4th stop light. Turn right on Washburn Way. Go one mile and the Best Western Olympic Inn is on the corner of Washburn and South 6th street Traveling from the south on Highway 97 from Weed: Take Lakeview Exit Highway 140E. You will then go approximately 2-3 miles, Exit Washburn Way. Turn left after exiting. The Best Western Olympic Inn will be 2 miles down on the corner of Washburn and South 6th street Traveling from the east on Highway 140 from Lakeview: Go straight on Highway 140, stay right at the Junction. Highway 140 turns into South 6th street. Go approximately 5 miles on South 6th street to the corner of Washburn and South 6th street. The Best Western Olympic hotel will be located on your right side Traveling from the south on Highway 39 & 139 from Reno: Go straight on Highway 39 until Junction of Highway 140 & 39. Stay in left lane at Junction. At first stop light, go straight onto South 6th street. Go approximately 5 miles on South 6th street to the corner of Washburn and South 6th street and the Best Western Olympic Hotel will be located on your right side
