Description:  Located just 21 miles south of Charleston, Kiawah Island Golf and Tennis Resort is a nationally recognized barrier island with over 10 miles of secluded beaches. It is globally known for its championship golf courses, designed by the best architects in the business - Nicklaus, Fazio, Player, and Dye. Kiawah's collection of courses features the famous Ocean Course, host of the 1997 World Cup of Golf. The Kiawah Island Inn: 
The Kiawah Island Inn offers 150 spacious rooms comfortably appointed with private balcony, cable TV, refrigerator, coffee machine, refreshment center, lighted dressing area, and hairdryer. The Inn occupies two oceanfront lodges and two lodges with lagoon views. Spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean, especially at sunrise, come with one unique amenity, the sense that you've discovered a very special place. The Kiawah Island Inn is in a self-contained walking village. Just seconds from your door are three pools, three restaurants, two lounges, a tennis complex, charming shops, two conference centers, the new Cougar Point Golf Course and miles and miles of uncrowded, pristine beach. Located within walking distance or a quick shuttle ride to Town Center, the location of the East Beach Conference Center, four restaurants, one lounge, two pools, the East Beach Tennis Center and the renowned Turtle Point golf course.

Sweetgrass Cafe:  Kiawah Island Resort's quaint, American Cafe, located in the Straw Market in West Beach Village. Enjoy grilled meats and fish, a savory selection from our rotisserie, creative pizzas and pasta specials, or one of our mouthwatering sandwiches. Round out your meal with one of our delicious homemade desserts. The Sweetgrass also offers a selection of beers and a variety of wines by the glass. The atmosphere is casual and family-friendly. Sundancer Bar & Grill:  Join us at the island's only oceanside open air bar and grill featuring a selection of light fare ranging from grilled burgers and nachos, to fruit plates and crudite platters. Be sure to cool yourself pool side with an ice cold beer or frozen yogurt. Don't miss a minute of the sunset from the bar's upper deck view of the Atlantic. The Sundance Grill may close due to inclement weather.
Topsider Lounge:  After dinner, or perhaps before you go out for the evening, stop by the Topsider Lounge, above the Kiawah Island Inn, the island's only lounge where you can enjoy fantastic ocean views on our veranda. Live entertainment is frequently featured on weekends. Open late, it's a great place to stop for a nightcap. Dress is casual. Smoking is permitted throughout the lounge. The Food Court:  Perfect for the family, the island's only Food Court is located in the Town Center at East Beach Village. Night Heron Park Cookouts:  Parents and children alike will enjoy our supervised Night Heron Park Cookouts and Field Games, held each Tuesday (seasonal) at 6:00pm. Mingo Point Lowcountry Oyster Roast and Barbecue:  Come experience another Kiawah Island Resort tradition at Mingo Point on Monday evenings (seasonal). Featuring oysters roasted ove an open pit, barbecue chicken and ribs, homemade coleslaw, molasses baked beans, delicious desserts and more. Our barbecue buffet is from 6:30pm to 9:00pm. The oysters are roasted from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. Lively, local entertainment at Mingo Point continues until 10:00pm.

March Creek Canoeing Paddle the shifting tidal currents through Kiawah's maze of tidal creeks and marshes. Paced for novice paddlers, this tour offers a chance to view wildlife including dolphin, fish, oysters, crabs and an abundance of birds.
Island Sampler Explore the diversity of our maritime forest, salt marsh and beaches while discovering secrets of the plants and animals which live there. This multifaceted tour provides a chance to beachcomb, birdwatch, or simply enjoy the fresh open air.
Birding Delve into the fascinating avain world. This birding tour is conducted by a staff naturalist with a wealth of information about the various species and their adaptations to their environment. 172 species and counting!
Island Biking Join the naturalists on a tour of the island and its network of trails. Four different tours are offered, each featuring one of the many natural and historical aspects of the island. Stops include Marsh Island Park, Bufflehead Pond, and other points of interest.
Scutes and Scales Get a hands-on experience with our alligators, snakes and turtles, and learn more than you ever wanted to know about our scaly friends. This classroom activity will teach you about reptiles, their unique characteristics and their importance to our ecosystem.
Gators-N-Y'all These are the largest reptiles in the U.S. and one of Kiawah's most feared and misunderstood creatures. Come and explore the life of the American Alligator. We will dispel some of the common myths and explain how to safely observe them.
