There are 7 lakes in the Lexington area. All the lakes provide facilities for public use and enjoyment. All the lakes and their adjacent property's are open to swimming, in season hunting, fishing, boating, hiking and picnicking. Water skiing can be enjoyed at Beech Lake, Pine Lake and Pin Oak Lakes. Beech Lake is located only 2 miles west of Days Inn off of Highway 412.

Parkers Crossroads:
Parker Crossroads Battlefield is located 10 miles north of Days Inn at the junction of I-40 and Highway 22. This is the site of the famous December 31, 1862 battle by Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest. Available at the front desk are maps for a self-guided driving tour of the area.

The museum is only 1/2 block from the hotel and features exhibits depicting life of early settlers in Henderson County, Civil, WWII and Vietnam exhibits and a life-size scale of a cabin build with the logs of Henderson County's first homestead.
