Arlington National Cemetery/Arlington House:
The impressive national burial group comprises 612 acres, many of which belonged to the estate of Robert E. Lee, whose family mansion still stands on the property. Those interred here include thousands of military veterans, the crew of the Challenger space shuttle and John F. Kennedy.

Washington's oldest and best known neighborhood, Georgetown began as an Indian trading center during the 17th century and later became a colonial trading port. Night Life - Kennedy Center:
John F. Kennedy Center: A living memorial to the late president houses five theaters and is home to the National Symphony Orchestra, the Washington Opera and the American Film Institute. Open daily 10AM - 12AM.

Old Town Alexandria:
Founded in 1749, the Old Town brims with colonial history. The streets are lined with beautiful 18th century homes. Many of them are occupied by antique shops and boutiques. Dining establishments line King Street and blocks near the waterfront.
Ride the Metro Yellow line or Blue line to the King Street Station.
